Zero: the office desk in fiberglass

ZERO, the high design office desk by Karim Rashid, is manufactured by Della Rovere in fiberglass. Della Rovere is the first Company in the Office Furniture field to manufacture a high design desk entirely in fiberglass.

- What is fiberglass?

Fiberglass or GFRP is a type of plastic reinforced by glass in the form of fabric or NWF impregnated with thermal-hardening resins, typically liquid, that harden after processing due to catalysts and accelerants.

- Is the desk stable?

Certainly. Fiberglass is an extremely rigid material; in addition, all Della Rovere desks are tested and certified by Cosmob. Zero is among the more stable desks thanks also to its internal iron reinforced core.

- Is the desk practical?

Yes, for two reasons. The lack of traditional four legs helps the operator during work, in fact, the sole central leg gives the feeling of working on a suspended surface; in addition, the leg hosts the cable-way that facilitates the cabling. All computer accessories can be used on this desk without compromising its aesthetics.

- Can the desk be scratched?

The material used to manufacture this desk is much more resistant than other materials. Della Rovere includes in each packaging a cleaning kit helpful also in case of light scratches. However, the real advantage respect to a wooden desk is that this desk may be quickly restored with a simple paint job, without having to replace the whole desk!

- May I customize the fiberglass desk?

Certainly. The Zero desk by Della Rovere can be customized with any colour or logo. The painting process is similar to that of cars; thus, it is possible to customize it even more than once over time. An advantage that comes in handy also in case the desk is sold to someone else!

- Can the desk be disassembled?

Yes, the desk is made of a desktop and a pedestal. This makes it easy to reach any office room.

- What is the warranty on the Zero desk in fiberglass?

The Zero desk by Della Rovere comes with a 2-year warranty, as established by national regulations.

- What furniture style is suitable in combination with the Della Rovere high design desk?

Cabinets, drawer units and chairs are all elements needed to create a complete office furnishing solution. Della Rovere recommends the choice of Presidential cabinets, which are elegant, practical and customizable with the desired colours. Metal drawer units, white or black, are elegant and practical and allow filing all those items that create “clutter” on the desk. For the chairs we recommend the Presidential chairs by Della Rovere, which are comfortable, technological and can be combined with many types of fabric or leather.

- Are there AutoCAD files for the Zero desk?

Certainly. Della Rovere has available AutoCAD files for this and all other collections. A very helpful tool for all architects and designers using advanced design software.
